5 Million Men Will Be Called 'Woman El Kal-Ka-Maz'

Within the scope of combating violence against women, information and awareness trainings will be given to at least 5 million men until the end of the year, with the slogan "Woman El Kal-Ka-Maz". In this context, 1 million 455 thousand men have been given training on combating violence against women in areas such as barbershops, stadiums, taxi stands and marketplaces.

Mobilization Started

Within the scope of the "2022 Action Plan to Combat Violence Against Women" protocol signed by the Ministries of Family and Social Services, Justice, Interior, National Education and Health and the Directorate of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Interior launched a training campaign to combat violence against women.

In this context, coffee houses, coffee shops, hairdressers, barbers, taxi stands, organized industrial zones, Business Development Centers (İŞGEM) and factories, urban and intercity transportation vehicles, airports, waiting areas of stations and bus stations, stadiums, sports halls, hippodrome, etc. places, university festivals, programs and other events, local festivals and fairs, market places and shopping centers, tradesmen, industry, trade, agriculture, drivers, etc. It is aimed to reach at least 5 million men with the trainings to be held in chamber organizations and unions, public institutions and organizations, cinema and theater halls, streets and squares where the public is concentrated, and at the entrance and exit of the mosque on Fridays.

1 Million 455 Thousand Men Reached

1 million 455 thousand men have been informed about the fight against violence against women in the trainings held by the three-person delegation formed in the provincial/district units of the Ministry/Presidency.

The Most Education and Awareness Work Was Held in Bursa

Within the scope of combating violence against women, 5 thousand 157 citizens were reached in Bursa, in the efforts to provide information and awareness training to 332 million men. Bursa was followed by Mersin with 92 thousand 638 people, Gaziantep with 88 thousand 804 people, Antalya with 80 thousand 981 people and Malatya with 67 thousand 769 people. In the provinces of Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, a total of 78 thousand 375 men were given training on combating violence against women.

Trainings Continuing at Every Point

In addition to the face-to-face trainings, promotional and informative banners/posters and brochures are also distributed. To date, 31 thousand 68 banners/posters have been hung and 472 thousand 853 brochures have been distributed to male citizens.
