Sharz.net, one of the charging station companies with the widest distribution in Turkey with 461 charging stations, announced that it has started working on new investments that will accelerate the electric vehicle market in our country. Sharz.net General Coordinator Ayşe Ece Şengönül, who stated that they established the first charging stations in September 2018 and that they have reached a wide spread today, said, “We will invest 2023 million TL in our country in order to reach 1000 stations by the end of 40. Our aim is to be located in 81 provinces and to take the lead in reducing CO2 emissions across the country by popularizing the use of electric cars.” made a statement.

Sharz.net, which provides software and hardware infrastructure to the automobile brand and Energy company, which is attempting to obtain a charging network license in our country, and which has one of the most widespread charging networks in Turkey with its 461 charging points, continues to continue its investments. Sharz.net, which established the first charging station 4 years ago and has invested 20 million TL to date, announced that they will develop their station infrastructures and networks.

Sharz.net General Coordinator Ece Şengönül spoke on the subject: “We still have a long way to go as a country on electric vehicles and we are working hard to make Turkey one of the leading countries in this market globally. We have decided to increase the number of our charging stations, which is 461 today, to 40 by the end of 2023, with an investment of 1000 million TL. Of the additional 600 stations to be installed, 50 will be DC fast charging stations.” said.

“The number of stations will reach 2030 thousand by 20”

Pointing out that there are 20 thousand public charging stations in England today, Şengönül said: “This number is currently around 4 thousand in our country and Sharz.net constitutes 10 percent. By 2030, the number of our stations will reach a minimum of 20 thousand. However, the most important issue is to benefit from our natural resources and produce our own electricity in order to eliminate foreign dependency in electricity production, because as the number of electric vehicles increases, electricity consumption will increase, and new sources are now needed.” said.
