Our olive growing law is wanted to be pierced once again with the application of the new regulation! Moreover, without taking any opinion of the industry!
The change that paves the way for the conversion of olive groves to mining areas in the name of public interest is never acceptable.
In this context, as İzmir Agriculture Group (ITG), we fully support the statement made by the National Olive and Olive Oil Council (UZZK), the umbrella organization of the sector, on the subject, and we say, cancel the regulation before the judicial process begins, and return from this wrong decision as soon as possible!
UZZK Board of Directors said, “We have protected our olive tree and our Law against these illegal attempts for 25 years in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. He will protect it again, once again the Truth will be found and we will win,” he shouts and we all have a common voice!
