We have to organize a very magnificent fair that will make a sound in the world. The higher you set the bar, the more satisfied we will be. It is possible that this will be a turning point for İzmir and Turkey.”
“We want new tourism packages to emerge”
TÜRSAB Chairman of the Board, Firuz B. Bağlıkaya, on the other hand, stated that Travel Turkey İzmir is now Turkey's fair, and that they are making a very good preparation. Baglikaya thanked President Soyer for what he did for tourism and said, “We thank you for everything, especially the product packages you have prepared for travel agencies. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is one of the exemplary municipalities in Turkey that works with both the Izmir Governor's Office and the Izmir Development Agency. Although you are separate entities, you work together in harmony. We would also like to thank you for this.” President Soyer, on the other hand, said that what the country needs most is solidarity and said, “If we do not do this, we are weakened. The more we can unite, the greater our strength. Visitİzmir mobile tourism application is the product of such a collective effort. For Visitİzmir, which emerged as the work of the İzmir Foundation, 40 experts worked for a year with the support of the İzmir Development Agency. Thanks to the Visitİzmir application, those who want to visit İzmir can get information about more than 30 points in 2 districts of the city. It has become a kind of digital tourism encyclopedia. This work was supported by the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism and the Governorship of İzmir. We want new tourism packages to emerge from here. Because there is an extraordinary wealth. Previously, there was no perception that they were all in the same city. However, they are all accessible, they are all interconnected. We also think that there will be buyers of these new packages.”
