TCDD and German Authorities Exchanged Ideas

The Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) and German DB Engineering & Consulting-DB E&C company officials came together and exchanged ideas in order to carry the ongoing friendly cooperation between the railway companies of the two countries to the future and to identify new areas of cooperation.

Michael Ahlgrimm, newly appointed as the Southeastern Europe President of German Railway Holding group company DB Engineering & Consulting (DB Engineering & Consulting-DB E&C), paid a courtesy visit to TCDD and attended the meeting.

The officials, who came together at the meeting chaired by TCDD General Manager Ali İhsan Uygun, exchanged views in order to carry the ongoing cooperation between the railway companies of the two countries into the future and to identify new areas of cooperation. During the talks, the parties decided to hold technical and high-level meetings as soon as possible in order to make their cooperation more efficient.

At the meeting, Ahlgrimm gave detailed information about the organizational structure and company profile of DB E&C, and stated that their company provides services in areas such as project management, construction supervision, testing and commissioning.

Stating that the new collaborations between two long-established administrations experienced in the railway field will contribute to the development of the sector, TCDD General Manager Ali İhsan Uygun stated that it is important to act immediately on the determined issues.
