Stating that they have renewed all of the existing conventional lines and expanded the coverage of the YHT lines, making travel between many cities fast, comfortable, safe and environmentally friendly, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “We have made our city the transit center of the world with our Istanbul Airport. We will crown our services with the Kanal Istanbul Project, which we will start to build in the near future. While increasing our global logistics efficiency with this alternative commercial water corridor, we will clear the Bosphorus from environmental risks and accident possibilities, and we will bring the peace, cleanliness and calmness it deserves.”

Karaismailoğlu said, “The length of the two metro lines, which we will start to build very soon, is 13,5 kilometers. When our projects are completed, our ministry will have done more than half of Istanbul's urban rail systems. Making every point of Istanbul accessible with the rail system will ease all Istanbul traffic and increase the quality of life of Istanbulites,” he said.

Expressing that the work continues intensively on the metro lines in Istanbul, Minister Karaismailoğlu listed the metro lines under construction in Istanbul.

“Continuing Halkalı-As of today, on our Başakşehir-Arnavutkoy-Istanbul Airport line; 74 percent of our NATM tunnel excavations and 60 percent of TBM tunnel excavations; We have completed 93 percent of the warehouse connection line NATM tunnel excavation. While NATM excavations are progressing at the stations, 6 TBM mainline excavations are continuing. Excavation and filling works in the warehouse area have been completed.”

Reminding that they opened the Hasdal-Basaksehir section of the 7th section of the Northern Marmara Highway and the Camlica Tower with the ceremonies attended by the President a short time ago, Minister Karaismailoğlu noted that the works in the subway constructions continue on a 7/24 basis.

Karaismailoğlu, “Like others; We did not refrain from making the roads of hospitals. Like others, we did not stop the metro lines that were started. On the contrary, we accelerated it even more. We will continue to work for the welfare of our cities and our country, beyond the daily political conflict and tension, away from lies and slanders," he said.
