The tender for Kaynarca Pendik Tuzla Metro, which was canceled by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality on January 2, 2018, was given back. Alarko Holding announced that the decision was sent to them.

According to the news of Business HT, the canceled Kaynarca Pendik Tuzla Metro tender will continue under the joint venture of Alsim Alarko, a subsidiary of Alarko Holding, in which Cengiz İnşaat has a 50 percent stake.

In a statement from Alarko Holding, it was stated in the letter sent by the Employer Administration that it was decided that the project in question was decided to continue with the Joint Venture.

The joint venture signed an agreement on the construction and electromechanical systems procurement, installation and commissioning of the 2017 in April. In January 2015, IMM sent a fax to Alarko Holding and announced that the tender was canceled.

The metro line, which will be a total of 12 kilometers long, is planned to be completed and put into service in 2020.

The first of the line consisting of two separate routes starts from the end of Tavşantepe Metro Line tail tunnel, respectively, Kaynarca Center, Çamçeşme (Çamçeşme Park), Kavakpınar (Abdi İpekçi Street), Esenyalı 1 (Dörtyol district), Esenyalı 2 (next to Ömer Çam Anatolian Religious High School) and Tuzla. By passing through the shipyard stations, the line length of the Tuzla Municipality will end at the end of the line and the total length of this line will be approximately 7,9 km.

The Pendik Merkez-Kaynarca Metro Line is located at the Pendik Station, which operates as the existing Marmaray and High Speed ​​Train Stations. The line to be connected to the Hospital Station will reach the total length of 4,1 km.
