TCDD General Directorate stated that the guard services at the Küçükdili level crossing in Adana were provided by the Adana Metropolitan Municipality as per the protocol, and a judicial and administrative investigation was initiated regarding the accident.
In a statement made by the General Directorate, today in some media organs; yesterday (20.08.2018) on the Adana-Yenice railway line in Küçükdikili crossing the car entering the level crossing the driver's life as a result of the crash, the level of crossing barrier did not close to the grounds that the driver's relatives reacted to the TCDD officials reported.
1-Accident 20.08.2018 was the only locomotive operating on the Adana-Yenice railway line on 08.50.
2-driver Deniz BEZEK, born in 1992, died at the scene.
In accordance with the protocol, Adana Metropolitan Municipality provides the guard services at the Küçükdili level crossing where the 3-accident occurred.
4-Judicial and administrative investigations have been initiated.
