Four Countries Examined Muğla Transportation

Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and Swedish International Center for Local Democracy (ICLD) organized by organizations; Di International training program: The last leg of the program and the closing of the program to achieve local democracy and integrated urban development by using the SymbioCity (sustainable urban development) approach eğitim was held in Muğla.

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality participated in the program previously in Sweden, Ukraine, Macedonia and Serbia in the training programs of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Transportation policies and services were also presented. The last leg of the program was held in Muğla.

“Within the scope of sustainable transportation in Muğla; Participating with a project on the basis of "disseminating and encouraging pedestrian, bicycle and public transportation types, and reducing the use of private vehicles by raising awareness of citizens on this issue", Muğla Metropolitan Municipality is entitled to participate in the program among 85 institutions from Turkey. kazanIt became one of the 2 Municipalities. In the fifth and final phase of the program, in which 10 municipalities from Macedonia (Veles, Sveti Nikole, Vevchani), Serbia (Vracar, Sabac, Belgrade), Ukraine (Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmenlnytskyi) and Turkey (Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Nilüfer Municipality) participated, Municipality hosted.

Participants were informed on the basis of issues such as participation, equality, fairness, disadvantaged groups, environmental problems, contemporary transportation policies, sustainable planning practices, which are the elements of sustainable urban development, and the participants were informed both in theoretical terms and had the opportunity to examine the successful practices on the spot.

Within the program, as described in the planning process in Turkey, Mugla planning as well as historical and architectural structure of the hinge and Akyaka private placement has been viewed over in detail.
