İzmir Metro, which has strengthened its fleet with 320 new wagons with an investment of approximately 95 million lira, and has reached 142 vehicles in total, will be explained in the Czech Republic. With the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which gives full points to Izmir's light rail system network, and the organization of the European-based consultancy firm Aspiro, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will go to Prague in June to hold various contacts. A team of 4 experts, established under the Department of Suburban and Rail Systems, will support Prague, which is seen as the art capital of Europe.

METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY PRAGUE

In the 19-day program, which is expected to start on June 22 and will end on June 4, the Izmir Metro's working model, financial structure and increasing revenues will be discussed. Metropolitan Municipality managers, who will explain the system implemented in Izmir to the authorities in Prague, will also participate in various technical trips and meetings in the program. The cooperation and partnership to be established between the two cities on rail system operation will continue in the upcoming period. The city of Prague will develop the urban rail system in line with the recommendations it receives from Izmir, and will develop in transportation by increasing the number of passengers.
