The Eurasia Tunnel, which connects the Asian and European continents with a highway tunnel passing under the sea floor for the first time, will be put into service on Tuesday, December 20, with a ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Maritime Transport and Communications Minister Ahmet Arslan, prior to the opening day-night that all Turkey's eagerly wait endlessly while examining the work site, received information. Minister Arslan, the public opinion on the broad survey of the Eurasian Tunnel also made a statement about the name survey. The Eurasia Tunnel was tendered by the General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments (AYGM) of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication with the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model on the Kazlıçeşme-Göztepe line, and was built by the Yapı Merkezi and SK E&C partnership.
