The global authority on workplace culture and employee experience Great Place To Work® announced the 2024 Turkey's Best Employers™ List. This year, it keeps the pulse of more than 20 thousand organizations globally. Great Place To Work®analyzed more than 600 companies from information technologies, manufacturing, finance, retail, pharmaceutical and other sectors for its Turkey report. Best Employers of the Year™ List, It was created based on the responses of 600 thousand employees who participated in the Trust Index™ survey, which measures workplace culture and employee experience in over 160 companies. Companies that performed best in the “For All™” criteria, which means that the employee experience is a consistently positive experience for all employees, were included in the list.

Awards were presented to the companies included in the Best Employers of the Year™ List at the event held at The Grand Tarabya Hotel on April 25, 2024. This year, the list, which was announced in six categories according to the number of employees of organizations, includes 10-49 Number of Employees category, 50-99 Number of Employees Category, 100-249 Number of Employees Category, 250-499 Number of Employees Category, 500-999 Number of Employees Category and Over 1.000 Employees. Eyüp Toprak: “Companies that manage stress well made a difference.”

Evaluating this year's results at the award ceremony, Great Place To Work® CEO Eyüp Toprak"Great Place To Work Türkiye We are leaving our 12th year behind. Every year, we reveal valuable insights for the sustainable success of organizations with our global corporate culture and employee experience expertise. This year, we left behind a very difficult year in Turkey. We observe a four-point decline in the general confidence index compared to the previous year, due to reasons such as elections, hyperinflation, and general despair. In other words, employees in both the best employers and standard companies have high stress levels. The only difference is that the best employers have managed to manage this stressful situation with innovative approaches, effective leadership practices, open communication and well-being programs. In other words, companies that managed to make their employees feel secure during crisis periods like this year managed this crisis more successfully.” said.

This year, employees said, "Let my company maintain its position." said

Soil Regarding the striking results of the report, he stated the following: “One of the most surprising results of the analysis we conducted this year was the change in employees' expectations from the company, even in the top five companies. "In our analyzes in previous years, while employees cared about their companies adding value to society, according to our results this year, they stated that it was more important for the company to maintain its own position and solidity in order to avoid job losses due to the crisis."

Economic well-being matters but does not determine perception of a great workplace

He also stated that one of the most difficult issues for organizations this year is salary regulation. Soil, "Although companies increased salaries, the price increase in the market reduced purchasing power. However, it is not right to say that the employees of companies that do not have a high salary policy are unhappy. Leaders in companies with the title of best employer can compensate for this negative perception with their people-oriented attitude, values, culture and the training they provide. “Companies positively improve their employees' experience by focusing on work-life balance and providing benefits in social benefits.” dedicate.

According to the research results, it would not be wrong to say that the most noticeable issue in standard companies is dissatisfaction with the performance system. Employees think that social benefits are inadequate and that the system does not function fairly. The issue of effective performance systems stands out as an area that needs to be developed in the best employers.

The manager cannot make the employee believe in matters that he does not believe in.

Another important indicator of our analysis is how important competent leadership is. In detail of young generation age groups such as Generation Y and Generation Z; standard, Great Place To Work-Certified™ Separate evaluations of the companies on the and Best Employer lists reveal that the biggest difference between these companies is "competent managers". Toprak, He stated the following regarding this issue: “If the vision of the people in managerial positions does not coincide with the corporate culture, this unity either does not last long, or the manager cannot convince the employee of what he does not believe. A corporate culture based on high trust and effective leadership are the two most important elements for a positive employee experience. Leadership that keeps its word, sees employees as stakeholders, communicates openly, is consistent, respectful, does not show favoritism and is inclusive, enables the emotional and psychological fluctuations of employees to be managed more effectively. “

Great Place To Work®, With these important research results that it shares every year, it gives organizations clues about what they can do differently to be more long-lasting and successful. The full list of companies from different sectors that entered this prestigious list is as follows:
