Durmuş Uslu, who was born in Giresun Dereli Kızıltaşköyü in 1969, settled in Gemlik in 1984 and started to deal with the construction business. He served as the president of the Gemlik Giresun Association, which was founded in 1988, for 4 terms. Durmuş Uslu, who served as a board member in the establishment of Gemlik City Council and Gemlik Citizen Associations, also served as a founding board member of Giresun Industrialists' and Businessmen's Associations and a founding member of Gemlik Çotanakspor Club.
