Ges Production Started in Selçuklu Bağrıkurt

Electricity production has started at the Bağrıkurt Solar Power Plant, which was completed by Selçuklu Municipality on an area of 45 thousand square meters in Bağrıkurt District. The power plant, which is both nature-friendly and contributes to the economy, will make a profit for Selçuklu Municipality thanks to the energy produced, and will also meet 90 percent of the electricity needs of the areas where citizens are served by the municipality.

The facility, which adds value to Selçuklu in terms of energy by incorporating 500 panels of 7 watts, will produce a total of 250 kW of electricity annually, as well as a total of 5.760.000 kW annually with the solar power plants established in the Service Building and Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden. electricity will be produced. The New Generation City Library, which also has green building status, also contributes with its 6.847.500 KW energy production. Turkey's first Green Certified (LEED) Athlete Training Center, which is under construction by Selçuklu Municipality, will contribute to both nature and economy by producing its own energy when it starts to serve.

CHAIRMAN PEKYATIRMACI: “WE ARE ALSO CONDUCTING EXAMPLE STUDIES IN THE FIELD OF ENERGY”

Stating that they are making efforts to leave a clean environment to future generations, Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyaşmacı said that they know how valuable energy is today. Stating that one of the most important works carried out is the Solar Power Plant Projects, Mayor Pekyaşmacı said, “As a municipality, we carry out these works to produce our energy and save money, as well as to protect nature. We took the Solar Power Plant project, which we started on the roof of our municipality service building, to the next level and continued this work in our Tropical Butterfly Garden and New Generation City Library. Our Athlete Selection and Development Center, which is an exemplary investment with many principles in Turkey, will be one of our self-sufficient green buildings with its solar energy feature when completed. We meet 90% of the energy needs of our municipal facilities with Bağrıkurt Solar Power Plants, which are currently the most comprehensive of these projects. Thanks to this project, we also prevent the annual cutting of 85 thousand 600 trees and the emission of 4 thousand 534 tons of CO2. In addition, the electricity produced in the project corresponds to the annual electricity needs of 2 thousand 283 households. "In our facility, which produces electricity worth 20 to 30 thousand Turkish Liras per day, we produce electricity worth an average of 1 million Turkish Liras per month, depending on the variability of weather conditions," he said.
