A seminar on Disaster Preparedness for Individuals with Special Needs was organized by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Affairs Department.
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, which organizes trainings on various subjects in cooperation with public institutions and non-governmental organizations, continues its trainings and seminars within the scope of necessary preparations and measures against disasters.
In this context, the Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Affairs Department, which aims to increase the awareness of all citizens living in the city against disasters, did not forget disabled individuals.
A seminar on Disaster Preparedness for Individuals with Special Needs was organized by the Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Affairs Department.
The seminar held at the Metropolitan Municipality Assembly Hall was attended by Head of Disaster Affairs Department, Gonca Arın, and seminar speaker, Prof. Dr. Onur Kurt, Metropolitan Municipality personnel, search and rescue teams of Non-Governmental Organizations and citizens attended.
In the seminar, which aims to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and equipment that they can consider useful for disabled individuals, such as what disaster preparedness is, how it is done, what are the stages, what a disabled individual should do to prepare for a disaster, Prof. Dr. Onur Kurt gave important information to the participants.
On the other hand, it is planned that the personnel attending the training and seminar organized by the Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Affairs Department will meet with a disabled citizen and make disaster preparations.
