A promotional tour was held before the first voyage of the tourist train, which will offer new experiences to travel enthusiasts along the route extending from Ankara to Diyarbakır, on April 19.
The train started its journey from Ankara, stopped in Kayseri, Malatya and Elazığ and reached Diyarbakır about 1 day later. Passengers, who enjoyed the natural views along the route in the Central, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions, also had the opportunity to get to know the cities where they stopped. Participants visiting historical places in the region had the opportunity to purchase local products while tasting local delicacies.
WHEN WILL THE TRAININGS START?
The first of the voyage organized by TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ General Directorate on the 1051 kilometer route is expected to depart from Ankara on Friday, April 19 at 15.55, and the return train is expected to depart from Diyarbakır at 21 on Sunday, April 12.00.
HOW MUCH WILL THE PRICES BE?
“Mesopotamia Express” has 180 bed and 9 dining car with a total capacity of 1 passengers. Those who want to travel in two-person sleeping cars on the train will pay 9 thousand liras, and 8 thousand liras on the return route.
The seats in the double rooms in the wagons also turn into beds for sleeping at night. The rooms offer all kinds of facilities for the personal needs of those traveling, from refrigerators to sinks, from storage cabinets to lighting and heating.
The tourist train, which will provide its guests with a pleasant journey accompanied by unique natural views, will take a three-hour break in Kayseri and Malatya and a 4-hour break in Elazığ. Train services are expected to contribute to the economy of the region, especially Diyarbakır.
