While THY's Boeing B737-800 type aircraft with tail registration TC-JVG was taking off from Istanbul Airport for the Sivas flight at 08.25 in the morning, an unexpected incident occurred on the plane. The plane's cockpit glass cracked for an undetermined reason. Following this situation, the pilot of the plane requested permission to return to Istanbul Airport Air Traffic Control Center.

The plane, which was taken into maintenance to replace the cracked glass, landed safely at Istanbul Airport at 09.10. Passengers will be sent to Sivas on a new plane allocated to replace the plane with cracked windows.
