Savings Warning on Water Day

In order to draw attention to the correct use of water, which is a source of life, a cortege march was organized by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and BUSKİ General Directorate within the scope of 22 March World Water Day events. Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, Bursa Deputy Mustafa Varank, Provincial Director of National Education Ahmet Alireisoğlu, representatives of public institutions, citizens of Bursa and hundreds of children participated in the march that started on Cumhuriyet Street. During the march accompanied by the Metropolitan Municipality Band, students from various schools drew attention to the economical use of water with banners in their hands.

''WATER SAVING AWARENESS PAYS THROUGH WATER CONSUMPTION AWARENESS''

Speaking at the ceremony held in the Hanlar District İpek Han Square after the march, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş drew attention to the importance of water saving and gave information about the "Chasing Water Drops" project. Emphasizing that the perception of 'Bursa is rich in water' is very wrong and that each individual should use water economically in order to leave a more livable Bursa to future generations, Mayor Aktaş said, 'Today, with the project 'In Pursuit of Water Drops' that we carried out with BUSKİ and the Provincial Directorate of National Education, kindergarten and Primary school students, you are with us and we are trying to raise awareness. Our project covers all 17 districts. Within the framework of the project, training was provided to 17 kindergarten students and 2022 thousand 242 primary school students in 73, and 226 kindergarten students and 2023 thousand 237 primary school students in 86 in 857 districts. We have provided training to approximately 2024 thousand students since the beginning of 15. "We believe that water saving awareness goes through water consumption awareness," he said.

WATER LITERACY FOR PEACE

On the occasion of March 22 World Water Day, BUSKİ, Jeotermal A.Ş. Mayor Aktaş announced that they started the "Water Literacy for Peace" project in cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of National Education and said, "At least 27 primary schools, 2 thousand primary school students, 300 teachers and 6 thousand parents throughout Bursa are informed about water conservation and water literacy and We aim to use our water resources more efficiently. "We will provide awareness training with workshops supported by drama instructors, psychologists and dietitians in 27 different schools," he said.

In his speech, Bursa Deputy Mustafa Varank said, "Turkey is not a water-rich country, there is a possibility of running out of water. Therefore, we will use our water without wasting it, just like we did awareness work today, we should know this every day. '' he said and gave important messages about using water economically, especially for children.

After the speeches, BursaSu, puzzles for children and free entrance tickets to use in Bursa Zoo were given to the citizens at the stand established by BUSKİ.
