Akhisar Gördes Road Will Be Opened in 2025

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Uraloğlu said, “With the Ankara-Izmir High Speed ​​Train Project, the travel time between Ankara and Manisa will decrease from 11 hours 45 minutes to 2 hours 50 minutes. We turn every dreamed project into reality in Manisa.” said.

Minister Uraloğlu, in Manisa, where he went to make his first provincial visit of the new year, went to the construction site of the 'Akhisar - Gördes Road Project', one of the important highway projects under construction, and received information about the final stage of the project. Uraloğlu, who examined the works on site, made statements.

WE WILL OPEN 'AKHİSAR-GÖRDES ROAD' IN 2025

Stating that they could not reach the desired level due to the legal processes in the project, Uraloğlu said, “We are building our road with a total length of 815 kilometers with a project cost of 54,4 million liras. We signed a contract with our new contractor in October 2022 and delivered the workplace. We completed the 1,6 kilometer section of the road. As of now, we have established all production facilities and brought all the necessary machines to the workplace. We will work quickly from now on. “Hopefully, we will open our road in 2025.” he said.

105 MILLION LIRAS WILL BE SAVED FROM TIME AND FUEL

With the completion of the project; Stating that a much safer and more comfortable travel opportunity will be created by increasing the transportation standard between the districts located in the north of Manisa, Uraloğlu said, “With the project, we will shorten the transportation time, which takes an average of 50 minutes on the current road, by 11 minutes to 39 minutes. Like this; We will save a total of 75 million lira annually, including 30 million lira from time and 105 million lira from fuel. "We will contribute to the protection of nature by reducing the carbon emissions of vehicles that harm the environment by 3 thousand 912 tons." he said.

WE INVESTED 92 BILLION IN MANİSA

Pointing out that they have transformed Manisa into one of the leading countries of its region in 21 years, Uraloğlu said, “Since 2002, we have invested approximately 92 billion lira for the development of Manisa's transportation and communication infrastructure. "We increased the length of the divided road from 82 kilometers to 625 kilometers, and the length of the bituminous hot mixture paved road from 72 kilometers to 574 kilometers." he said.

'WE MADE 62 PERCENT PROGRESS IN ANKARA-İZMİR HIGH-SPEED TRAIN PROJECT'

Uraloğlu stated that the works within the scope of the Ankara-İzmir High Speed ​​​​Train Project continue at full speed and said, “Our construction works continue step by step. We achieved 62,9 percent physical progress in infrastructure construction works. “The remaining infrastructure, superstructure and electromechanical construction works are continuing rapidly.” said.

THE BETWEEN 'ANKARA-İZMİR' WILL BE 3,5 HOURS, THE BETWEEN 'ANKARA-MANİSA' WILL BE 2 HOURS 50 MINUTES

Stating that when the project is completed, the current Ankara-Izmir railway travel time will decrease from 824 kilometers to 624 kilometers and the travel time will decrease from 14 hours to 3,5 hours, Uraloğlu said, "The travel time between Ankara-Manisa will also decrease from 11 hours 45 minutes to 2 hours 50 minutes." He made a statement.

'GEDIZ BRIDGE INTERCHANGE' WILL PROVIDE FAST AND SAFE TRANSPORTATION

Stating that he will also inspect Manisa Bus Terminal Different Level Junction, Uraloğlu said, “Our Gediz Bridge Junction in short; It is located at the intersection of Manisa-Akhisar-Balıkesir-Bursa-İstanbul Road, Manisa Ring Road, Manisa-İzmir Road and Manisa-Turgutlu-Uşak Roads. With the project, we will reduce the traffic congestion in the region and provide fast, safe and uninterrupted transportation between the routes in question. At the same time, we will provide access to the bus terminal from different points from the intersection area.” he said.
