Türkiye Culture Road Festival Starts in Adana!

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy made a statement regarding the 2024 Turkey Culture Road Festival.

Minister Ersoy announced that this year the Turkey Culture Road Festival will start with the Orange Blossom Carnival in Adana between 13-21 April.

Some highlights from Ersoy's speech are as follows:

“I express it at every opportunity, Turkey Culture Road Festival is a cultural and tourism initiative that aims to bring the tangible and intangible heritage of cities together with everyone and to turn our cities into brand cities.

There are approximately 80 venues on the festival routes. The number of venues in our festival, whose scope has grown with the increasing number of cities, has also increased and reached over 2023 in 500.

We aim to increase the number of venues where events will be held to more than 2024 in 5, with the 600 newly added cities.

In 2021, the number of cultural and artistic events organized within the scope of the Beyoğlu Cultural Road Festival exceeded 380. This figure for the first festival in the first year made us extremely happy.

But today we have raised our own bar to a very high level. Because in 2023, the number of events held within the scope of 11 festivals has exceeded 5 thousand. We aim to increase the number of events to 6 thousand this year.

This year, we will start the Turkish Culture Road Festival with the Orange Blossom Carnival in Adana between 13-21 April.

Then, respectively, Şanlıurfa between 25 May and 2 June, Bursa between 1-9 June, Samsun between 8-16 June, Trabzon between 22-30 June, Van between 29 June and 7 July, Nevşehir between 3-11 August, 17-25 August. We will continue with Erzurum between 31 August and 8 September and Çanakkale.

One of the important stars of our festival this year will be Pablo Picasso. For Picasso's 50th anniversary, 2023 different exhibitions were held in Europe and America in 50.

"As part of the 2024 Culture Road Festival, we will host an impressive Picasso exhibition with more than 80 original works as the chief guest and provide a unique experience by bringing it together with art lovers in different cities for 3 months."
