Date Announced for Ankara Izmir High Speed ​​Train Line

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said that the Ankara-İzmir High Speed ​​​​Train Line will be put into service in 2026-2027.

In this context, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, who opened the completed Sorgun Station of the Ankara-Sivas High Speed ​​​​Train line, later attended the factory opening in Sivas.

Ankara-İzmir line was asked

Uraloğlu was asked about the work on the Ankara-İzmir High Speed ​​​​Train Line. Stating that the work on the project continues, Minister Uraloğlu also gave a date for the opening.

Uraloğlu said: “We are re-equipping our country with iron networks. The Ankara-İzmir High Speed ​​​​Train Line project continues. God willing, we will implement it in 2026-2027. “We will have traveled in a travel time of 3,5 hours.”

Countdown on the Ankara-İzmir line

The line in question will directly introduce the comfort of high-speed train to more than 9 million people living in Afyonkarahisar, Uşak, Manisa and Izmir with 7 stations.

Considering the interaction with surrounding provinces such as Kütahya, the population benefiting from high-speed train service will increase even more.

It will increase the trade volume in the region by bringing Izmir, the third largest city of our country with its industry, tourism potential and port, and the provinces of Manisa, Uşak and Afyonkarahisar on the route closer to Ankara.

With the project, the travel time between Ankara and Afyonkarahisar will be reduced to 1 hour 40 minutes, the travel time between Ankara and Uşak will be reduced to 2 hours 10 minutes, and the travel time between Ankara and Manisa will be reduced to 2 hours 50 minutes.
