Private Branch Teachers' Union won the right to 'discounted transportation' thanks to the public opinion it created in Izmir. Sharing the video of the decision taken in Izmir Metropolitan Municipality on its social media accounts, the union made the following statement: “Congratulations to the teachers of private education institutions working in Izmir. As a result of our determined efforts for months, the right to discounted transportation was announced and made official by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Council. We congratulate the Izmir representatives and members of our union. They showed a valuable stance in the struggle for equality. Our Union, which took actual actions and campaigned for the right to discounted transportation, thus paved the way for diplomatic negotiations.
