Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün included the following in his message on the occasion of March 8 International Women's Day: "On March 8 International Women's Day, where we celebrate their existence and contributions in all areas of life, I offer my sincerest respect and love to all our women. Our precious women, who make us who we are and are the most valuable half of our labor and life struggle, are the strongest link that makes up society. Acting with this awareness, we, as Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, strive to do our part to ensure that women are more active, participatory and have a say in every field. We have always acted with this understanding while preparing our projects. In our beautiful city Manisa, where I have served with great honor and happiness for 3 terms, we have prioritized the peace and happiness of women and children. We increased the number of areas where our women can do sports. We launched our MASMEK courses with the idea that women can have a profession and improve themselves in the fields they are interested in. We offered you the opportunity to see the beauties of our city closely with our "Come on Women to Manisa" project. I would especially like to emphasize that we will continue our services and projects for women in the new period. Women; They are beings who make the world beautiful with their strong and brave stance, their sacrifices and their love. They are the indispensable cornerstone of family, society and our world. The achievements of our women in education, labor force, politics, art, sports and many other fields are a source of pride and inspiration for all of us. I offer my respect and love to all women who struggle with these feelings in every field, inspire and set an example; I believe that we will continue to work together for a fairer, more equal and more beautiful world.
