'Sümer' Facility for Amateur Clubs in Kayseri

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, together with Kayseri Amateur Sports Clubs Federation (KASKF) President Mutlu Önal, visited the Sümer Amateur Complex, which was put at the service of amateur sports by the Metropolitan Municipality with new investments.

Mayor Büyükkılıç, who came together with the athletes here, stated that sports investments will continue in 2024 and said, "In 2024, we will continue our work in the context of facilities, supporting sports diversity, and in the context of national and international competitions, especially by involving young people. "In this direction, we will strive to help young people stand on their feet with self-confidence and not allow negative habits with the richness that sports bring, with both the preparations for the Olympics and the necessary studies," he said.

Büyükkılıç noted that they provide sports services in various areas throughout Kayseri, from swimming pools to astroturf fields, from sports facility needs of schools to Erciyes High Altitude Camp Center, and said, "Hopefully, in the work we do in the context of facility development, the most support is expected from us in terms of swimming pools." We currently have 27 pools, 3 of which are about to be completed, making it 30. Is it enough or not? As you know, there is demand for artificial turf everywhere. We continue to provide the necessary support to our villages, neighborhoods and districts in this regard. Our schools have demands and we fulfill them. "Most importantly, we continue our efforts to turn the High Altitude Center into a camp center by diversifying it both in terms of numbers and to provide opportunities for different sports environments there," he said.

Talking about the activities of Turkey's largest ski school, Erciyes Ski School, Mayor Büyükkılıç said, "By giving ski courses to our children at the ski center, we provide the service of taking them, bringing them, providing them with the necessary refreshments, providing them with transportation, and teaching them skiing with the help of professional ski instructors." . Children learn to ski in one day. "Our aim is to bring together this international city, which is a ski resort, with young people who will really make a splash in competitions held around the world," he said.

Reminding that Kayseri and Erciyes will host SNX Turkey, the Turkish stage of the World Snowmobile Championship, on March 8, 9 and 10, Büyükkılıç said, “We will also have a motor sports festival on March 8, 9 and 10. With the work we do there, it is actually a professional work, we will provide them with free of charge. I gave instructions not to charge any fees for concerts. We will do the necessary work in that direction. "We continue to define Kayseri as a city that makes a name for itself with every positive aspect," he said.
