Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu was among the airport passengers of the Gayrettepe-Kağıthane Metro, whose opening was held on Monday, January 29, with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Minister Uraloğlu preferred to use the new metro line on his way to Istanbul Airport to return to Ankara after his programs in Istanbul.
Passengers traveling on the subway with Minister Uraloğlu expressed their satisfaction with the opening of the "Gayrettepe-Kağıthane Metro" line, which eliminated the rush to catch the plane due to traffic density.
Gayrettepe-Kağıthane Metro served 1302 passengers on the first day it was opened, and a total of 8 thousand 113 passengers since the day it was opened. With the opening of the new line, the number of passengers on the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport Metro line increased by 13 percent.
