Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak made important statements at the 5th General Assembly of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF). Minister Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak: "It is very important for our young people to be in cultural activities with each other, there is a need for more dialogue with each other." he said.
Pointing out that, as the Ministry of Youth and Sports, they carry out joint projects with the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum, Minister Bak said, “We invite them and have joint interactions. Within the framework of these studies, we wish to invite our young people within the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum to joint studies and be together with them in 2024. This is your country. “WE NEED JOINT COOPERATION AND DIALOGUE”
Emphasizing that relations within the framework of cooperation need to become even more important, Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak continued as follows:
“We held the Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya in 2022. It was a very successful organization in modern facilities. Turkey continues strongly with its sports infrastructure and projects for young people. Great revolutions in this sense were carried out under the leadership of our President. As you can see, Türkiye organizes world championships within the framework of major events. The National Football Team will take part in the European Championship. We need dialogue to show the power of sport in Paris 2024. We have joint work with many countries. All this is very important. We need joint cooperation and dialogue so that young people, who are our future, can survive and be strong in this geography.”
“THE WORLD IS BIGGER THAN 5”
Underlining the importance of young people turning to science and technology, Minister Bak said:
“The future is very strong for the Islamic community. We must understand each other very well. As our President stated, 'The world is bigger than 5.' We should move the sentence here as well. We need to improve our relations with the states in the Turkish world. We have important diplomacy on the African continent. Our facilities and centers here are open to young people from the Islamic world. We can coordinate these through the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum.”
“WE CANNOT REMAIN SILENT ABOUT THE GENOCIDE IN GAZA”
Referring to Israel's attacks on Gaza, Minister Bak said, “We cannot remain silent about the genocide taking place in Gaza. We stay silent when babies are sleeping, we need to raise our voices when babies are dying. “We must be strong, we must be united, we must move forward strongly into the future.” said.
