Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin accepted Borusan Asım Kocabıyık Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Robotics Team in his office.
Minister Yusuf Tekin accepted and congratulated Istanbul Borusan Asım Kocabıyık Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School "40 Crescent and Star Robotics Team", which succeeded in participating in the finals of the FIRST Robotics Competition Aerospace Valley Regional competition held in California, USA, and placed 6th among 7444 teams, at the Ministry. He wished them continued success. Dealing with the students one by one and asking them about their goals for the future, Minister Tekin said to the students, "We are ready to do whatever you want." He noted that they will provide all kinds of support. Emphasizing the importance of technology and artificial intelligence concepts in education, Minister Tekin gave advice to the senior students in the team regarding their university goals. Minister Tekin gifted a smart watch and a book set to the internationally successful 7444 Crescent and Star Robotics Team. The students and teachers in the team thanked Minister Tekin for accepting them and presented him with a team jersey with his name on it.
Won the Autonomous Award
Founded in 2018 and winning awards in many national and international competitions, 7444 Crescent and Star Robotics Team consists of 5 mentor teachers and 52 students. Apart from the competition in the USA, the robotics team succeeded in reaching the finals of the FRC Haliç Regional competition, held in Istanbul in 2024, in which 6 robot teams from 53 different countries participated, and finished the competition in 5th place, and received the title "Autonomous", which is given to the stable, reliable and highest performing robot in the autonomous period. Award".
