Kayseri Rises in Agriculture with the Support of the Metropolitan Municipality

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç's efforts to make Kayseri the center of agriculture and animal husbandry by collaborating with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Kayseri Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and Non-Governmental Organizations attract attention throughout the country.

In this context, Kayseri rose from 10th to 6th place in total agricultural area, from 11th to 5th place in production amount, and increased the number of products in the top ten in Turkey, which was previously announced as 14, to 18.

Within the scope of 2023 TURKSTAT official production figures, Kayseri ranked first in Turkey in sunflower, rye and safflower production, and ranked second in potato, pumpkin seeds and cumin production.
