City Management in Bursa Will Be Planned with 'Labourers'

While the Labor Party's Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidate was Selma Gürkan, Mudanya Mayor candidate was Metin Dündar. Labor Party nominated Arif Şen as council member in Kestel district and Hanım Cömert as council member candidate in Mudanya district.

Bursa Provincial Chairman Berkay Akkuş made the opening speech at the meeting, which was also attended by Labor Party (EMEP) Chairman Seyit Aslan.

Stating that our party did their best to prepare for the elections in Bursa, as in all provinces, and to come side by side with the labor and democracy forces, Akkuş stated that all efforts could not result in positive results, and stated that they will participate in the local elections with their own candidates, and added that they will participate in the local elections with their own candidates in Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and Mudanya. He said that we will have presidential candidates in the Municipality and municipal council member candidates in other districts.

The Labor Party says that this is a period in which one-man rule and the People's Alliance are trying to implement uninterrupted programs in the economic, social and political fields, and in which new laws are passed in the parliament, and we are faced with very serious attacks in every aspect against the workers and laborers and the people living in Turkey. (EMEP) Chairman Seyit Aslan, referring to AK Party's 'real municipalism' slogans, said, “We actually know what is behind this real municipalism. Behind what they call real municipalism, there is profit, looting and plunder. There is an aim to inflate the construction monopolies and their coffers. "There is nothing more than taking the people's resources, the people's taxes, and the capital, that is, what they call real municipality," he said.

“WE WILL PLAN THE CITY MANAGEMENT TOGETHER WITH WORKERS”

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidate Selma Gürkan, who stated that it is obvious that these elections will not be an election with the originality of local elections, said that planning the city administration together with the workers, discussing the city administration with the workers, with a perspective that is not on the agenda of the other candidates, and with their organized power and struggle, they will take the local elections together to win such a democratic city administration. He said that they had a goal of using it as an opportunity and expanding the struggle from there. Gürkan, no matter who wins the ballot box, has fought together with labor and democracy forces against a profit-seeking mentality of municipalism, against the giving away of Bursa's economic resources to a handful of capital and a handful of monopolies, against the commission of urban crimes, and has created the elements of struggle for a democratic city administration together. He emphasized that they will. Gürkan called for "Let's fight together for a greener, more livable Bursa, and for a city management where economic resources are used for the people of Bursa."
