Certificate is given for production compatible with nature

Another Agriculture Certificate first started working in the field of pasture animal husbandry. 189 of the 165 producers from Izmir inspected by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality company İzDoğa and İZTAM were entitled to receive certificates. During pasture livestock inspections, items such as animal care, use of pasture instead of feed, and antibiotic residues in milk were checked. In the second stage of the certification program, work was carried out in the field of black pepper producers. As a result of the inspections, 87 of 86 black awn producers in Izmir were entitled to receive a certificate. During the inspections, many important criteria such as selection of products suitable for the land, support of hydroponics, and use of natural fertilizers were examined.

The newest work area of ​​the certification program, where production in harmony with nature is prioritized, is plants produced from seedlings and saplings. All plant groups produced from seedlings and saplings will now be inspected and producers will be able to obtain another internationally accredited Agricultural Certificate for their products.

Inspections in the field of seedlings and nurseries; It will be done by taking into account factors such as altitude, aspect and vegetation of the production land. During the inspections, important criteria such as selection of products suitable for the land, support of hydroponics, effective use of water resources, reduction of the use of plant protection products, protection of pasture areas, and use of natural fertilizers will be examined. In addition, the products produced from seedlings and saplings will be checked for pesticide residues.

The certificate has a validity period of 1 year and is audited at least once a year.
