Social Balance Compensation Agreement was Signed in Manisa Metropolitan Municipality

The 'Social Balance Compensation Agreement', which concerns the civil servants and contracted personnel working in Manisa Metropolitan Municipality and MASKI General Directorate, was signed at a ceremony. Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Funda Solak, MASKİ Deputy General Manager Emre Özünlü, Head of Human Resources Department Harun Yıldız and Turkish Local Service-Sen Manisa Branch President Cem Özleyen attended the signing ceremony held in Mayor Cengiz Ergün's office. Making a statement before the signing ceremony, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün said, “We came together with our union representative for the additional protocol of the Social Balance Compensation contract with the Turkish Local Service Union. We have completed the negotiations as a result of this additional protocol. "A slight improvement was made in the soup by considering the conditions and economy of the day," he said.

“WE WILL NOT VICTIM OUR CO-WORKERS”
Reminding that the social balance compensation contract expired on 31.12.2023, Mayor Cengiz Ergün said, “According to the law, the social balance contract cannot be signed for less than 1 year, more than 3 years and also beyond the local election date. Based on this, we have extended the end date of the contract until 991 with this additional protocol, which we prepared with the idea that our 3 civil servants and contracted employees within our Metropolitan Municipality and MASKİ General Directorate will not be victimized in the 31.03.2024-month period until the election. I would also like to give you the good news that we have increased the social balance compensation payments by 3 points, taking into account the economic conditions in the 10-month period. I want it to be known that we will not victimize our valued colleagues. We could not achieve these social balances during that period when we examined the economic difficulties and financial criteria during the Covid period. However, after we started giving, we reflected the difference of one and a half years,” he said.
“There is no such thing as non-payment”
Stating that some rumors were spread before the election, Mayor Ergün said, "We hear rumors that if we are re-elected, the president will and will not destroy social balances." We have been fulfilling this duty for 15 years. Our employees know best what we do. They should not worry about such rumors. Social balance and economic conditions will be updated again, if necessary, under the conditions of that day. There is no such thing as not being paid. I want this to be known too. I hope that the additional protocol will be beneficial to our civil servants and contracted personnel. I wish the improvements, additional agreements and social balance additions we have made to all our employees who work devotedly for our Manisa to be auspicious. "Let them spend it happily with their families," he said.
