While Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality implements many sports projects in order to raise successful athletes who will represent Kocaeli and our country in local, national and international arenas, it also continues to support amateur sports clubs in every field.
In 2023, a total of 118 million 8 thousand TL aid was provided by the Metropolitan Municipality, including 745 million 65 thousand TL in kind to 27 amateur clubs throughout Kocaeli and 925 million 36 thousand TL in cash to 670 clubs. SPORTACTIVE CAME TO LIFE
The Metropolitan Municipality also implemented the Amateur Sports Clubs Information Software System (Sporactive), which brings together the business and transactions of sports.
Thanks to the system, representatives of amateur sports clubs operating in Kocaeli can access all data over the internet. Sporactive system; It was established in order to know the aid provided to clubs, schools and associations more effectively and to record the requests and create the necessary database.
Various information such as "president, board of directors, coaches, teams, athletes, which facilities the clubs use, club and athlete success" of each club were entered into the system, and thanks to this data, the necessary basis was created to evaluate the clubs and meet the demands fairly. 595 clubs in our city receive service using this system. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality provides in-kind and cash aid to all active clubs registered with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The materials provided by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality are used by athletes both in training and competitions. A total of 30 thousand 715 materials, consisting of 305 items worth 72 million 27 thousand 339 TL, were provided to amateur sports clubs in Kocaeli.
