Another Festival for Producing Women

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, which makes positive discrimination towards women in every field, will organize the 3rd Metropolitan Municipality Producing Women Festival upon popular demand. The Metropolitan Producing Women Festival will be held on 19-20-21 January 2024, with the aim of supporting female entrepreneurs and female artisans dealing with Turkish handicrafts, helping them develop, keeping the arts and crafts that are about to be forgotten and contributing to family budgets. A draw was held for 250 stands to be opened at the festival, which will be held at the Metropolitan Municipality Nihat Zeybekci Congress and Culture Center. Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Osman Zolan, who participated in the draw, stated in his speech that there was a high demand for the festival and said, "If our women produce, we will become stronger as a society and go further."

It is very valuable for productive women to contribute to the home economy.

Pointing out that women have always been involved in production, but that the Metropolitan Producing Women Festival makes them proud with its entrepreneurship dimension, Mayor Zolan said, "I hope we will continue to be with you at this point and provide many services together, hand in hand, heart to heart." Emphasizing that it is very valuable for productive women to contribute to the home economy, Mayor Zolan said, “We are organizing many events to participate in our festival and attract attention. "We invite our artists, hold workshops and organize many events," he said. Explaining that the festival will be held when the semester break begins, Mayor Zolan said, “I hope you will be rewarded for your efforts. This is our prayer, our wish. “I wish you all success and good work,” he said.

Handcrafted products will be exhibited in 250 stands.

At the festival, where many different handcrafted products from Turkish handicrafts to home textiles and ready-made clothing will be exhibited, woodworking, bijouterie, coppersmithing, jewelry design, sewing, knitting, traditional clothing doll making, cutlery, glasswork, pottery, leatherworking, weaving, silversmithing, There will be examples of traditional Turkish handicrafts such as recycled ornaments, miniature objects, basketry, cosmetics, skin care, ceramic craftsmanship, tile, Turkish decorative arts (illumination, calligraphy, miniature, marbling), wire breaking, embroidery, needle lace. Additionally, local homemade dried food, cake, tomato paste, jam and pickles will also be available at the festival.
