Manisa Metropolitan Municipality attaches importance to the employment of women in male-dominated business lines. In this context, with the instructions of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün, priority was given to the employment of women among new personnel starting to work in traffic police groups.
New traffic police officers who will work on the streets of Manisa were given training on traffic activities by Commissioner Mustafa Ali Akgündüz at the Provincial Police Department.
Pointing out that they value women in their management and employment approaches, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün said, “In this sense, we attach importance to the employment of female workers both in the management teams and in our groups working in the field. By eliminating occupational gender discrimination, our female workers work in many employment areas such as traffic police and drivers. In this sense, our 10 new female workers who started their mission will work in the streets of Manisa after the training they received. I believe that our female employees will work as devotedly as our male employees. “I wish each of them luck,” he said.
