Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, who came to Manisa to participate in a series of programs, also visited Manisa Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of his Manisa contacts. Minister Şimşek, who was welcomed by President Cengiz Ergün, senior management staff and department heads, then met with President Cengiz Ergün. Dr. Ayşe Nevin Sert, MHP MYK Member Ali Yavaş, General Secretary Aytaç Yalçınkaya, MASKİ General Manager Burak Aslay, AK Party Provincial Chairman Salih Güçlü, MHP Provincial Chairman Cüneyt Tosuner, Metropolitan Municipality Council MHP Group Deputy Chairman Mehmet Güzgülü, Ülkü Ocakları Provincial Chairman Emirhan Sallıtepe, Deputy General Secretaries, MASKİ Deputy General Managers, Mayors and Mayoral Candidates were present.
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek first signed the book of honor of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality during the visit. Then, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün made a presentation about the projects implemented, ongoing and planned to be implemented by the Metropolitan Municipality and MASKİ General Directorate in 17 districts. Providing information about the actual budget figures of the Metropolitan Municipality, Mayor Cengiz Ergün noted that they have always been at the top in budget discipline among the 30 Metropolitan Municipalities. Mayor Ergün stated that 10 percent of the budget amount was allocated to investment in the 40-year period after Manisa became a Metropolitan Municipality. Noting that it is a tremendous thing that 40 percent of the budget is allocated to investment, Minister Mehmet Şimşek said, “We thank our President. It is very important that the resources return to the nation in terms of work. "I congratulate you," he said.
