Turkcell's techno waste project, which has been ongoing for four years, has supported the education of hundreds of children. Sharing the outputs of the project on the occasion of June 5, World Environment Day, Turkcell contributed to both the environment and education, while recycling 2019 tons of electronic waste it has collected since 29,4, and provided educational scholarships to hundreds of children with the income obtained.

Turkey's Turkcell shared the figures of the 'Convert into Education' project, which it carries out for the purpose of recycling techno waste, as part of June 5, World Environment Day. Announcing that 2019 tons of techno waste has been sent for recycling within the scope of the project started in 29,4, Turkcell contributed to the education of hundreds of children with the income generated from the waste.

Techno waste such as mobile phones, computers, tablets and accessories brought to the recycling bins in Turkcell stores within the scope of the 'Convert to Education' project, which has been ongoing for four years, is sent for recycling in cooperation with the Information Industry Association (TÜBİSAD). All of the revenue from recycling is donated to the 'Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey (TEGV) to be used in the quality education of children.

Due to the earthquake that took place in 6 of our cities on February 11, Turkcell aims to contribute to the education of children in the earthquake zone by adding itself as much as the income from techno waste until the end of the year.

Focusing on nature-friendly projects in the field of social responsibility, Turkcell continues to support ecology with its ongoing works.

The target is 'net zero' by 2050

The energy management process, strengthened by Turkcell's investments and management systems, has been certified with the international ISO 2018 certificate since 50001. Being the first mobile operator to have this certificate in Turkey, Turkcell commits to its stakeholders to meet 2030% of the energy needs of its group companies from renewable energy sources until 100, and to be a 'net zero' company by 2050, in line with its national and international sustainability goals.

Offering sustainable products in Pasaj

Turkcell also contributes to the circular economy system, in which resources are not unnecessarily removed, wasted, and regained. In this context, with the 'Modem Renewal Project' implemented in 2019, modem group products that Turkcell customers do not use were renewed or repaired and made available to users who demand modems again.
