Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Efforts initiated by Mehmet Hilmi Güler to benefit more from the sea and to increase maritime activities continue increasingly. President Güler, who started water sports such as sailing and canoeing, and brought the Martyr Temel Boxwood Ship and the North Star boats to city sea tourism, also revived the boat production in Ordu, which was on the verge of being forgotten.
DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE: MADE IN ARMY
Ordu's domestic boats are manufactured by a professional team at the fiber-composite production center established in Fatsa for boats, whose design, production and sales are carried out by ORYAZ, a body of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality. All stages of production, from the start of the boat to the launching, are carried out by a special team. Model boats, designed by engineers in boat manufacturing, which started to be produced in 2021, are manufactured by expert craftsmen.
In the first stage, the Metropolitan Municipality, which increased production in the works that started with two models, produces a variety of boats from nostalgia boats to fishing boats at this point.
ORDU BOATS IN THE AEGEAN SEA
Boats built in the center, where production is based on orders from various cities, are marketed throughout Turkey. One of the boats produced in Ordu was sold to the holiday resort Marmaris recently. Ordu's domestic boat will thus continue its tourism activities in the Aegean waters.
A NEW BUSINESS AREA IS BORN
It is expected to contribute significantly to employment in Ordu, where a new business area has arisen, as well as the revival of marine and maritime activities with boat production works.
