The 6,5 kilometer road between Altınşehir and the hospital, which was designed by the Metropolitan Municipality to ensure smooth transportation to Bursa City Hospital, was completed and put into service. In this way, citizens had the opportunity to reach the hospital without taking the highway while traveling with their private vehicles.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which has brought large-budget projects for the solution of the transportation problem in Bursa, to the city one by one, has also completed the 6,5 kilometer road that will provide transportation from the city center to the Bursa City Hospital. Bursa City Hospital, which significantly draws the health burden of Bursa with a total bed capacity of 355, has become more accessible with the investments of the Metropolitan Municipality, which amounted to 100 million TL, together with the expropriations. The 3-meter section, which is the first stage of the road projected between Altınşehir and the City Hospital, was completed before. With the completion of the 500-meter section between Walnut Street and the hospital, which is the second stage of the road, the road, which provides uninterrupted access to the hospital without taking the highway from the city center, was put into service with a ceremony in which the people of the region showed great interest.

We have a lot of work to do

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, in his speech at the ceremony, mentioned the importance of the City Hospital for Bursa. Reminding that the City Hospital bears a large part of the health burden, especially during the pandemic process, Mayor Aktaş said, “Especially during the pandemic process, we understood much better what the city hospital means. But you can appreciate that transportation to the City Hospital was very important. We especially enjoy the pleasure of reaching the City Hospital without taking the highway. We still have a lot of work to do, God willing. First of all, you have to accept this fact. The diversity of our industry, the abundance of opportunities and alternatives make Bursa a center of attraction. The population of Bursa is increasing by 50-60 thousand every year. Transportation is one of Bursa's top priorities. Therefore, we make our plans accordingly. Here, especially the expropriation part was problematic and took a long time. Praise be to Allah, we have put this work into practice in order to provide more comfortable transportation for our nurses from Bursa, by spending a cost of around 100 million.”

Investments do not slow down

In his speech, President Aktaş also gave information about the transportation investments that were completed and under construction, and said that they gave a breath of fresh air to the transportation with the smart junctions implemented at 56 points, the 4,5-kilometer Yunuseli road, the Fuat Kuşçuoğlu and Balıklıdere bridges, the Adliye Junction, the Acemler and Mudanya Junctions. Noting that the waiting time in the rail system was reduced to 2 minutes, the Odunluk Station was put into service, the ongoing Emek-Şehir Hospital line and the University-Görükle lines, the rail transportation network expanded as well, President Aktaş said, “The relaxation experienced in traffic in our works is also reflected in international statistics. According to the data of Tomtom, a navigation company that prepares traffic indices in 6 continents, 56 countries and more than 400 cities in the world, Bursa ranks 2022th in Turkey and 9th in the world in traffic congestion in 125. But the previous year, it was 5th in Turkey and 73rd in the world. However, I'm not saying we're done. By Allah's leave, we will do our best to create a more comfortable traffic. Because I know very well that transportation is one of the priority issues in Bursa and all our motivation with our teammates is in this direction. Good luck on our way to the City Hospital. May God grant you safe and trouble-free driving," he said.

“There are presidents who cannot count 5 projects”

AK Party Deputy Chairman and Bursa Deputy Efkan Ala also thanked Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş, who brought him together with a few openings every time he came, especially for transportation projects. Ala, describing the dialogue between a muhtar and Mayor Aktaş at the opening ceremony held in Orhaneli district, said, “Our headman is asking about a retaining wall. My president has full knowledge of the whole process of the subject and explains it one by one. I said that there was no mayor, the mayor was born. I really thank you. We have seen many mayors who remained in office for 5 years and could not turn around and count 5 jobs, but produced dozens of polemics. We live with many mayors who cannot produce solutions, produce problems, do not serve, but do politics. Dear brothers and sisters, the issue is this; everyone should do what the nation expects of him, wherever he is. He expects the politician to do politics, it is right, it is true. But we expect the mayor to do business. Do politics from time to time, but do business from time to time bro. You are traveling around Turkey. You don't have a single job to count where you are. These are wasting time for Turkey,” he said.

From politics we understand service

Bursa Deputy Mustafa Esgin, who took the floor at the ceremony, stated that their only excitement is to serve the nation and the country, “We always say it. There is only one thing we understand from politics. It is to serve our nation and our country. Some people talk with polemics, some people understand perception from politics, they have an understanding of making politics with pressure on perception. We also talk about our actions," he said.
