Noting that they produce projects that add value to every point of Istanbul with their qualified staff, İmamoğlu said, “We do not produce projects that bring political satisfaction or make a handful of people happy. With our projects, we produce works that our people need. We have subways, life valleys, treatment facilities, dormitories, kindergartens, sports facilities, and health centers. Restorations, cultural centers, social facilities; From the new Halk Ekmek factory to the city restaurants, from the bright, modern, new IETT vehicles to the electric water taxis, from the square arrangements to the parking lots, frankly, we are putting our signature under very valuable new projects in every corner of Istanbul.”
"THANK YOU TO THE TWO PRESIDENT"
Stating that in addition to the works started in the previous period, they also produced services in areas that IMM had never thought of before, İmamoğlu said, “We harmonize the projects with the needs of the citizens, purify them from waste and complete them accordingly. We are shelving projects that are not approved by scientists and technical people and that will harm Istanbul. We never, ever take them on the agenda. The Silahtarağa project, namely the treatment plant project, was opened to me by the Eyüpsultan and Kağıthane mayors during their first visit. God bless them. WE CANCELED THE PROJECT THAT WILL DAMAGE THE HALIC
Saying that he asked his staff to examine the project upon the warnings of the two presidents, İmamoğlu used the following statements:
“We saw that a treatment plant was planned on an area of approximately 125 thousand square meters on the shore of the Golden Horn. When friends presented this analysis to me, they said, 'You are already building a treatment plant in Baltalimanı. Waste water of a part of this region will go there. At the same time, you will renew the treatment plant in Yenikapı, we know that there is a project preparation in this regard. There is no need for a treatment plant on the shores of the Golden Horn when you start there'. On the other hand, even if it is treated, it is not recommended to leave the wastewater to the Golden Horn. It is a structure that needs to be fed. For years, water has been supplied here from the Bosphorus and the Black Sea, and the Golden Horn has been refreshed. From bottom cleaning to the Golden Horn, it should be ensured that it breathes and renews continuously with the cleaning system in the form of scanning that we have just implemented. After the meeting at İSKİ, I took my friends and came to the place where it would be held. I saw that 30-40 years old trees turned into a forest there. In other words, these trees will be cut down and a treatment plant will be built. Every treatment plant inevitably has negative effects around it, from its smell to its appearance. This is the Golden Horn. The Golden Horn is a historical texture. At that time, we decided not to lay this foundation, but to cancel this tender.”
“LET THEM SEE HOW THE LEAVES OF THE TREES CLOSE”
Sharing the information that the current cost of the canceled facility has reached 2 billion TL, İmamoğlu said, “This is one of the openings we made today. Go and look at the places where there are those beautiful trees that look like a dump. Please examine what kind of a park it has turned into, how it has turned into a beautiful environment like a gift for you.” Reminding that he said "You will see, even the leaves of these trees will applaud us" for his decision not to do the project, İmamoğlu said, "They tried to make fun of it. In other words, the eyes of the heart have become so dark and blind that they cannot even understand the metaphorical applause of the leaves. Now they should go there and see how the leaves of those trees are applauding.”
OLD DIRECTORATE, NEW SOCIAL FACILITY
Informing that Silahtarağa Youth Park provided the formation of a 12-kilometer green line from Eminönü to Alibeyköy Pocket Bus Station, İmamoğlu spoke as follows about the projects brought to Eyüpsultan:
“When I went to a place that was conceptualized as the European Side Branch Office, when I saw the office building, I said, 'friends, isn't this a big office? 'My friend at the head said I swear it's big. 'Then I said let's open this place to the nation'. This would be a nice social facility with its park and garden. My political friends in Eyüpsultan have always said that this is needed. We have opened it. We are also opening the Golden Horn Sports Park and the cable car square. We do not tolerate the closure of the coasts to the public. We are proud to entrust the Golden Horn to Istanbulites as a unique opportunity for life… We are also opening our Regional Employment Office in Eyüpsultan. Providing service to our young job seekers, especially ladies and everyone, and finding a job for more than 100 thousand people from the moment they took office; We are opening the 19th of these centers in Eyüpsultan, which trains the profession-oriented workforce in our Institute Istanbul İSMEK courses and finds a job with a certificate issuing model.”
300 HUNDRED PROJECT SERVICE MARATHON CONTINUES IN 300 DAYS
Saying, “We will complete our 300 Hundred Projects in 300 Days service marathon with the month of May,” İmamoğlu said, “There are 2024 more days until the 300 local elections. So guess what we can do in those 300 days. I'm not just talking about what we're going to do. There is a fine point here, a good point," he said. Describing the 2019 local elections as a 'breaking point', İmamoğlu said, “What did they do to us after this process? They did not sign and approve our projects. They withheld a signature. They even withheld a signature from our 16 million people for the metro, for the purchase of metrobus, for the purchase of buses. From where? Political envy. By God, if I felt political envy, I wouldn't thank the two AK Party mayors here. But I do. For example, we would like to thank the Mayor of Gaziosmanpaşa recently. Came. We opened the stadium together. We worked together bro. He gave the land. We developed the project, changed it. It was started, we sat the model. We built a place. Will this be a party? Impossible.
