In line with the Support of Agricultural-Based Economic Investments, which is included in the Rural Development Investments Support Program, 2022 projects in 2023 provinces were entitled to receive grant support of more than 70 billion TL in the 478-1 application period.

2006 percent grant support is given to investors in line with the Support of Agriculture-Based Economic Investments, which is included in the Rural Development Investments Support Program, which has been carried out under the Rural Development Department of the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and has been implemented continuously for 5-year periods since 50.

With the grant support, it is aimed to increase the income level in rural areas by considering natural resources and the environment, to support small and medium-sized enterprises in order to ensure the integration of agricultural production and agriculture-based industry, to develop agricultural marketing infrastructure and to ensure retrospective traceability.

Supporting investments that include new technology in order to strengthen food safety, create alternative income sources in rural areas, strengthen rural economic infrastructure, expand the use of new technologies developed for agricultural activities by producers, increase the effectiveness of rural development activities, and contribute to the creation of local development capacity in rural society. are among its objectives.

The application evaluation period for the program, which started on December 9, 2022, was extended until May 11, 8 for 2023 provinces due to the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş. For the other 70 provinces, it ended on February 28.

The applications accepted in the said 70 provinces were evaluated by the Central Project Evaluation and Budget Determination Commission established under the General Directorate, and the projects that were eligible for the grant were determined.

According to this;

1- On the processing, drying, freezing, packaging and storage of agricultural products; In applications where the nature of the investment is the construction of new facilities, the completion of partially made investments, the capacity increase of existing facilities, and technology renewal and/or modernization;

a) Construction of new facilities for processing, drying, packaging and storage of medicinal and aromatic plants, completion of partially made investments, capacity increase of existing facilities and technology renewal and/or modernization

b) Construction of new facilities for processing, drying, freezing, packaging and storage of herbal products, completion of partially made investments, capacity increase of existing facilities and technology renewal and/or modernization

c) Construction of new facilities for processing, drying, freezing, packaging and storage of animal products, completion of partially made investments, capacity increase of existing facilities and technology renewal and/or modernization

ç) Technology renewal and/or modernization, provided that it is limited to the construction of new facilities for the construction of steel silos and cold storage, and renewable energy and/or cold storage equipment in applications for the storage of agricultural products.

2- In fixed investment applications for agricultural production;

a) Technology renewal and/or modernization with the construction of modern new greenhouses with air conditioning, irrigation and fertilization systems for the production of agricultural products

b) Construction of new facilities for cattle breeding, completion of partially made investments, capacity increase of existing facilities and technology renewal and/or modernization

c) Construction of new facilities for sheep and goat breeding, completion of partially made investments, capacity increase of existing facilities and technology renewal and/or modernization

ç) Construction of new facilities for poultry farming, completion of partially made investments, capacity increase of existing facilities and technology renewal and/or modernization

d) Construction of new facilities for cultivated mushroom production, completion of partially made investments, capacity increase of existing facilities and technology renewal and/or modernization

e) Technology renewal and/or modernization of existing facilities for cattle and sheep slaughterhouses

f) Construction of new facilities for poultry slaughterhouses, completion of partially made investments, capacity increase and technology renewal and/or modernization of existing facilities

A total of 478 projects were included in the main list and were entitled to grant support. Other applications were determined as substitutes.

In the evaluation, the lower limit of the project amount subject to the grant is 1.000.001 TL, and the upper limit is; Among the applications that were found suitable, 7.000.000 TL as a new facility, 5.000.000 TL for the completion of partially made investments, 4.000.000 TL for capacity increase and technology renewal and/or modernization were accepted.

Within the scope of the project, a total of 2 billion 325 million 827 thousand TL grant payments will be made to 478 investment projects worth 1 billion 43 million 511 thousand TL.

According to the number of investors, Konya benefited the most from the program with 21 investors, followed by Kayseri with 17 investors, Ankara and İzmir with 16 investors, and Mersin with 15 investors.

According to the amount of support, the province that benefited the most from the program was Konya with 41,6 million TL, while Ankara with 34,5 million TL, İzmir with 31,8 million TL, Kırşehir with 31 million TL and Kayseri with 29,6 million TL were among the top five. took place.
