DHMİ took its place in TEKNOFEST 2023 with its Domestic and National Systems

The world's largest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival TEKNOFEST 2023 opened its doors to technology enthusiasts at Atatürk Airport.

DHMİ presents the projects and systems it has developed with domestic and national means at the stand opened under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure at the festival that brought technology enthusiasts together on April 27-May 1.

DHMI, which has made Turkey the center of global aviation, is conscious of the great contribution of domestic and national projects and systems to the welfare and economy of our country, and reduces foreign dependency with the contribution it offers to our country's economy with the projects and systems it has developed entirely with its own means. The systems and projects we exhibited as DHMI at TEKNOFEST 2023 are as follows:

THE REMEDY TO BE USED ALSO IN THE BROTHER COUNTRY AZERBAIJAN

Providing service in more than 40 air traffic control units in Turkish airspace and to be used in sister country Azerbaijan, CARE is among the domestic and national projects exhibited at our stand.

Developed entirely by domestic and national means by our Organization, which carries out its activities in line with Turkey's vision of being a technology producing country, not a consuming one, CARE is a human-machine interface application that displays real-time flight data on the map within the framework of air traffic control management capability. With its user-friendly interface, it not only allows air traffic controllers to manage air traffic effectively, but also ensures that air traffic safety is maintained at the highest level.

TURKEY'S FIRST NATIONAL SURVEILLANCE RADAR (MGR)

The field acceptance work of the radar system, which is Turkey's first domestic radar system, National Surveillance Radar (MGR), which will be installed at Gaziantep Airport and to be used in civil aviation, has been completed. National Surveillance Radar (MGR), which is the first domestic and national PSR (Primary Surveillance Radar) system of our country, was developed with the cooperation of DHMI and TÜBİTAK with completely domestic and national resources. The system will be used in air traffic control services.

AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER TRAINING SIMULATOR (atcTRsim)

The software of the Air Traffic Controller Training Simulator was developed entirely with domestic and national means. In the simulator; Air traffic control trainings are given at all levels, especially the aerodrome control, approach and road control basic trainings. The simulator meets all training requirements from beginner to advanced training. EUROCONTROL complies with ICAO rules and international standards.

FOD DETECTION RADAR (FODRAD)

With the FOD Detection Radar (FODRAD), developed in partnership with DHMİ and TÜBİTAK-BİLGEM, accidents caused by foreign matter damage are prevented. FODRAD is a mm-wave radar system that detects foreign material residues (Foreign Object Debris-FOD) on the runway at airports and warns the operator, real-time display of the location of the debris on the runway and the camera image. System development work has been completed and installed at Antalya International Airport.

BIRD DETECTION RADAR (KUŞRAD)

Bird Detection Radar (KUŞRAD), which is of great importance in terms of flight safety, detects birds that may adversely affect flight safety in critical areas of airports connected to DHMI, determines the migration routes of migratory birds around the airport, and organizes landing/departure traffic operations according to the determined bird mobility. developed with local resources. The radar, which was installed at Istanbul Atatürk Airport in 2017, has been successfully serving.

DHMI EDUCATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EYS)

The source codes and infrastructure of the DHMI Education Management System were developed entirely within the body of DHMI. The system enables video trainings to be made, system records of organized online trainings to be taken and detailed reports of trainings to be created.

MY FLIGHT GUIDE MOBILE APP

My Flight Guide mobile application; It can be downloaded for free on mobile devices from Android and iOS application markets. Before starting their journey, users can access all the details about their flights with a single touch, and plan and track all their journeys. The mobile application, which also offers fast and free internet access within the borders of the airport, serves airline passengers with its user-friendly screens.

FLIGHT INFORMATION SYSTEM (FIDS)

Flight Information System (FIDS) was developed with the resources of DHMI Information Technologies Department. The system displays the landing/departure information (delay status, cancellation status, estimated arrival time, etc.) of all flights at the airports via screens. It directs passengers, greeters and ground services accurately and on time. Offering multi-language support, the system has a user-friendly interface (web-based).

AIS PORTAL APP

DHMI AIS PORTAL application is integrated with NOTAM service European Aviation Information Database (EAD) system. It presents the current NOTAM information of Turkey and all the countries of the world instantly to the use of the aviation industry. Offering multi-language support, the system has a user-friendly interface (web-based) and seasonal flight records can be created. It allows the display of advertisements, promotions and information, videos, pictures and slides. It can also ensure that all flight information monitors can be monitored over the system.

DISASTER EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

Disaster Emergency Management Information System; A system that enables DHMI disaster and emergency management activities to be carried out effectively before, during and after disasters and emergencies. It is an application that facilitates the compliance of the activities carried out within our organization with national and international norms and increases the institutional competence of DHMI in disaster and emergency management.

FLIGHT TRACK APP

The Flight Track application can be accessed via the browser, either integrated with the My Flight Guide mobile application or independently. By displaying all commercial and transit flights in Turkish airspace live on the map, it enables users to follow live flights in the air and get all the information about the flight in detail.
