Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer noted that within the scope of the "Let's Stop Addiction Together" training program organized for students, teachers, school administrators and parents in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, a total of 22 million 919 thousand people have been reached so far.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer made evaluations about the "Let's Stop Addiction Together" program carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Interior to combat addiction that threatens public health and safety.

Pointing out that addiction is a national security issue, Minister Özer stated that they aim to raise awareness in the fight against addiction in the program in question, and said, “In line with the 'Let's Stop Addiction Together' meeting held in cooperation with our Ministry and the Ministry of Interior, between 16 January and 24 February 2023, students, teachers, and educational plans were made for our parents. One week before the semester break, addiction training started at our schools and institutions.” shared his knowledge.

Özer continued as follows: “With the reopening of schools, the trainings we provide within the scope of the fight against addiction continue, in addition to the studies carried out for psychosocial support services. Thus, we have reached a total of 17 million 752 thousand 348 people, 871 million 698 thousand 4 students, 295 thousand 742 teachers and 22 million 919 thousand 788 parents.
