With the completion of our Ankara-Sivas High Speed ​​​​Train Line, we are increasing the length of the railway to 13 thousand 896 kilometers, and our high-speed train line length to 2 thousand 228 kilometers. used his statements.

Minister Karaismailoğlu emphasized that the 405-kilometer line is an important part of the East-West high-speed rail corridor stretching from Edirne to Kars and that there are 8 stations, namely Elmadağ, Kırıkkale, Yerköy, Yozgat, Sorgun, Akdağmadeni, Yıldızeli and Sivas. Pointing out that they will introduce high-speed train comfort to Kırıkkale, Yozgat and Sivas with the project, Karaismailoğlu continued his words as follows: “We reduced the distance between Ankara-Sivas from 603 kilometers to 405 kilometers with our line. We reduced the rail travel time from 12 hours to 2 hours, and the distance between Ankara and Yozgat to 1 hour. With our project, with the connection of Kırıkkale, Yozgat and Sivas provinces to the Ankara-based high-speed train network, we provide the opportunity for approximately 1 million 400 thousand citizens living in these provinces to travel by high-speed train. Ankara-Sivas HT line will host many of our passengers coming from cities such as Konya, Eskişehir, including Istanbul. Thus, we will provide high-speed train service to approximately 11 percent of the country's population in a total of 9 provinces, directly to 20 provinces on the Ankara-Eskişehir-Istanbul, Ankara-Konya, Konya-Karaman and Ankara-Sivas high-speed train routes, and indirectly to our 52 neighboring provinces. ”

Karaismailoğlu stated that they have successfully completed 66 tunnels of 49 kilometers and 27 viaducts of 49 kilometers in the Ankara-Sivas High Speed ​​​​Line, which has been manufactured on a difficult geography, and said that the longest tunnel of the project is in Akdağmadeni with 5 thousand 125 meters and the longest railway viaduct is in Çerikli with 2 thousand 220 meters. For the first time on the high-speed train line, we have laid a total of 1676 kilometers of rail using domestic rail. We realized the first ballastless road, namely concrete road application, in tunnels with 138 kilometers of concrete roads. As part of the project, we built a local and national ice prevention and defrosting facility in Sivas.” he said.
