Trambuses, which will run on Haşimiye, Balıklıgöl and Atatürk Boulevard, where the historical bazaars are located, will depart from the 2nd Collection Center. Trambuses replaced the articulated buses serving on 63 ring lines.

The opening of the additional service building of the Trambuses and Transportation Services Department, which was brought to Şanlıurfa by Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality, was held with a ceremony. Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül, as well as Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ, Şanlıurfa Governor Salih Ayhan, AK Party Provincial Chairman Ali İhsan Delioğlu, AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Sait Kaya, AK Party Şanlıurfa Deputies, AK Party Şanlıurfa Deputy Candidates, District Mayors, Council members, Şanlıurfa Provincial Mufti Ramazan Tolan, Police Chief Mehmet Murat Ulucan, Chairman of the Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen Mehmet Şefik Bakay, Head of the Association of Mukhtars Mehmet Kestop, President of the City Council Adil Saraç, and citizens attended.

PRESIDENT BEYAZGÜL, “TRAMBUS WILL BE FREE FOR 1 YEAR”

Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül noted that Şanlıurfa will continue to rise. Mayor Beyazgül said, “I am giving a new good news to our citizens of Şanlıurfa. It will be good news that directly touches our citizens, our people. We will not look at the words by saying, "The rite is the work of the person." 6 of our tambuses have arrived. All 4 will arrive in two months. We will support our trambuses together with our other vehicles. As of today, our trambuses, which started to serve on 63 ring lines, will be free of charge for one year. Is there any other city that can make trambuses for free, or they can't. We said we would do it, and we did it with Allah's permission.” This is how public service is done. By working harder, I hope we will experience the growth period together after May 14.” he spoke.

PRESIDENT BEYAZGÜL, “WE SUCCESSFULLY SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS”

Talking about the services and investments made in Şanlıurfa, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül noted that they have overcome every project called difficult. Mayor Beyazgül said, “When we implemented the People's Bread project, there were some criticisms. When the earthquake and flood occurred, we saw how accurate the public bread was. We made 2,5 TL so that everyone could buy a piece of public bread, which is the project of our people. We offer our tea to our people at the same price in our cafes in our own parks. Açıksu Caddesi has been a topic that has been talked about for years. Behind the Castle has been a topic that has been talked about for years. Asian and Ottoman Neighborhoods, Akçakale Road were the topics discussed for years. There was also an unspoken issue that we built the Abide Junction upper viaducts. And we completed it in a short period of 6 months. There were blockages. There were queues of vehicles. We eased the transportation by building 2 viaducts with post-tension. Although we were affected by the earthquake and flood, we set up tents at 13 points during the month of Ramadan. If a citizen of mine went hungry while we were eating at home, we would all be responsible for it. I continue home visits. Here we meet the needs of our citizens in need. Hopefully, the abundance that will be in demand will come when these demands are met.” He made his statements.

MINISTER BOZDAĞ, “I CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR PRESIDENT FOR MAKING TRAMBUS FREE”

Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ said, “We are together to present the concrete version of the project, which was carried out under the leadership of our Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül, to the service of our Şanlıurfa brothers. We will release our trambuses to Şanlıurfa roads. 6 Trambus has been put into service of our people as of today. Other trambuses will come to the city soon. These trambuses will provide significant convenience to the people of Şanlıurfa in urban transportation. It is also extremely valuable that these trambuses are free for one year. I would like to thank the Mayor of Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality for making it free of charge. This is a great tradition practiced by our President. While our President puts such works into service, he ensures that our citizens can benefit from these works free of charge. Turkey has become one of the main centers of the world not only in land transportation but also in air transportation. That's why they don't want our President. Our country becomes a center in aviation, energy, agriculture and weapons production. That's why we say that we do not stop with the right steps, we continue on the road. For the Century of Turkey, we say for Şanlıurfa, not tomorrow, but now, and set off. We start our first road with the trambuses of our Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality, and continue on our way. We wish our trambuses good luck to our Şanlıurfa and our citizens, and we are starting the first voyage.” He used his expressions.

GOVERNOR AYHAN, “THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND COMFORTABLE TRAMBUS GOOD LUCK TO SANLIURFA”

Şanlıurfa Governor Salih Ayhan said: It is very important that our modern, fast, environmentally friendly and comfortable vehicles meet our city. I hope that our new trambuses that will serve the people of Şanlıurfa will be beneficial, and I congratulate our Mayor and his team”.

After the speeches, the trambuses set off with prayers made by Şanlıurfa Provincial Mufti Ramazan Tolan. Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ got on the trambus and got behind the wheel. Turning the ignition by saying Bismillah, Minister Bozdağ took a short tour of the BELSAN vehicle track with Mayor Beyazgül.

The Trambuses, which have zero carbon emission, energy saving and a battery system, are designed in a way that 160 people can travel.

Vehicles that can reach a maximum range of 50 km with their batteries without being connected to the catenary line will be able to reach unlimited range thanks to their batteries that can be charged while on the move. In this way, both time, fuel and maintenance costs will be saved and 95 thousand people will travel daily. Trambuses provide fuel savings of up to 40 percent in one day compared to diesel vehicles, while this rate rises to 80 percent in maintenance. Trambuses can carry passengers without a catenary line (electricity supply line). The economic equivalent of the savings is only in fuel, Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality corresponds to 3,5 million liras per year. Vibration-free and noiseless electric motors are designed not to damage the historical texture of the city. Wi-Fi service will also be offered to passengers in vehicles with tropical air conditioners that will cool down to 60 degrees, special to the climatic conditions of Şanlıurfa. Instead of the articulated buses serving on the ring line in the Old Urfa region, environmentally friendly trambuses will be used.
