Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that they plan to increase the railway network to 2053 kilometers within the framework of the 28 vision and that they will increase the number of national electric train sets to 600 by 2030.

Minister Karaismailoğlu, who came to TÜRASAŞ Sakarya Regional Directorate before the delivery of the National Electric Train Set to TCDD, stated that they were in a very important and historical place for TCDD. Explaining that they aim to be the country that designs, produces and develops technology in the production of railway vehicles, Karaismailoğlu said that Turkey will grow thanks to the good works that have been signed and will be done in this field.

Reminding that they needed foreign products, subways and equipment especially during the years he worked in Istanbul, Karaismailoğlu said that railways were one of the important sectors where foreigners exploited the country. Emphasizing that they have become a self-sufficient country in this field, Karaismailoğlu said, “Under the leadership of our President in the last 21 years, Turkey has achieved and will continue to achieve many unimaginable things. Because we have a lot of determination, a lot of trouble. Our goals are huge. In line with the targets, TÜRASAŞ, Sakarya factory has great tasks and duties. Our fellow workers here are our colleagues. Their work is very important. With their sweat, our business will increase and we will get much bigger jobs. On the one hand, we will manufacture our high-speed train vehicles, and on the other hand, our subway and suburban vehicles. We will do all of their equipment, maintenance, repairs and renewals here.” he said.

After his speech, Karaismailoğlu drove the train he passed to the cockpit to Adapazarı Station. Explaining that they made an investment, Karaismailoğlu emphasized that they started a mobilization to produce domestic and national technologies in railways, expand line capacity, rehabilitate existing lines, and make service-oriented, smart and value-added transportation.

Karaismailoğlu stated that they have renewed all of the railways and built the nation's half-century-old dream high-speed train lines, and noted that they have made Turkey the 6th high-speed train operator country in Europe and 8th in the world with high-speed train lines. Karaismailoğlu stated that they increased the total railway length, which reached 13 thousand 128 kilometers as of last year, to 13 thousand 896 kilometers with the completion of the Ankara-Sivas High Speed ​​​​Train Line, which was opened yesterday, and said, “We have increased the high speed train line length of 1460 kilometers to 2 thousand 228 kilometers. Thanks to the Ankara-Istanbul Super Speed ​​​​Train Line, which our President gave the good news, Kızılay-Kadıköy We will reduce the interval to 80 minutes. Within the framework of our 2053 vision, we plan to increase our high-speed train line to 13 thousand 400 kilometers and our total railway network to 28 thousand 600 kilometers. shared his knowledge.

Pointing out that they have crowned these achievements in railways with the domestic and national railway industry, Karaismailoğlu stated that TÜRASAŞ is a world brand with its capacity to meet the needs of foreign countries as well as Turkey.

Pointing out that the institution has become the largest rail system vehicle manufacturer in the Middle East, Adil Karaismailoğlu continued his words as follows: “Our National Electric Train Sets, which have the TSI Certificate necessary for them to work in our country and in the European Union countries, have also gone down in history as to how much our national railway industry has become. It was the biggest proof that he had made great progress. The operating speed of our national electric train sets is 160 kilometers, and the design speed is 176 kilometers. It has 3, 4, 5 and 6 vehicle configurations to be operated regionally or intercity according to the business needs. The passenger capacity in the 5-vehicle configuration is 324 people.”

Mentioning that the trains have Wi-Fi access, a kitchen section, 2 compartments for disabled passengers, a disabled boarding system and a baby care room, Karaismailoğlu said, “The National Electric Train Sets, which have been produced so far as 2 sets of 1 prototypes and 3 series, We will meet an important need of passenger transportation by producing a total of 2024 sets, 4 sets until the end of 2025 and 15 until the end of 22. By 2030, we will complete the number of train sets to 56.” he said.

Karaismailoğlu stated that they used their knowledge in the project development stages and that the design work of the National High Speed ​​​​Train, which has an operating speed of 225 kilometers, continues, “Hopefully, we will start the vehicle body production of our National High Speed ​​​​Train in 2023.
