Continuing to implement important regulations to ease the urban traffic, Konya Metropolitan Municipality completed the work it started to extend the Adana Ring Road connection of the Railway Street to the industrial zone and opened the street to the Hüdai Junction. On the part of the street up to the Aykent Junction, the arrangement works continue.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to ease the traffic in the city center where there is a density of vehicles.
Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that while making new bridge junctions with alternative connection roads, they also implemented important regulations on existing streets in order to ensure smooth traffic in the city center and increase road safety.
In this context, Mayor Altay stated that they have completed the arrangement works that they started by demolishing the old flour factory on the Adana Ring Road connection of the Demiryolu Avenue a while ago, and said, "By making a new road arrangement of 800 meters from the Adana Ring Road connection of the Railway Avenue to the Hüdai Junction, they have completed the avenue. We extended it. In this way, we have connected the Railway Street to our industrial zone. By putting this place into service, we have significantly relieved the traffic of the region. On the part of the same street up to the Aykent Junction, our work on arrangement continues. Our aim with all these works is to make the traffic flow more secure and uninterrupted. I wish the best for our city," he said.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality has also made lane expansion work in the area where the State Supply Office (DMO) warehouses on Railway Street are located.
