Welcome to Eden premiered on Netflix in May 2022 and tons of people started watching the new Spanish thriller series. When will Welcome to Heaven season 2 air? It looks like Netflix saw the potential of the series and renewed it for a second season just weeks after it aired. Now everyone is waiting for the release of new episodes in the 2nd season of Welcome to Heaven.
Welcome to Heaven is a Netflix original series created by Joaquín Górriz and Guillermo López Sánchez. It's about a group of teenagers invited to a private party on a remote island sponsored by a new beverage brand. But when they arrive on the island, they quickly realize that the so-called paradise holds many dark secrets and is not at all what they expected.
The amazing cast includes Belinda Peregrín, Berta Vázquez, Amaia Aberasturi, Amaia Salamanca, Lola Rodríguez, Sergio Momo, Begoña Vargas, Ana Mena and others.
Unfortunately, we don't have a release date for Welcome to Heaven yet, but we've provided all the information we know about the new season so far below.
Welcome to Heaven season 2 renewal
On May 25, 2022, Netflix announced to the world that Welcome to Heaven Season 2 of Welcome to Eden has officially begun. The series continued to topped Netflix's global Top 10 list for non-English TV, according to the streaming giant.
In week 1, the show took 2nd place. Then, week 2 rolled over and the show jumped to #1. It dropped to 3nd place in week 2, but that was still a high ranking. The show took 4th place on the list in its fourth week to finish the first month. Overall, the show managed to accumulate 131.310.000 million watch hours in its first month on broadcast. It was a truly impressive achievement!
Welcome to Heaven season 2 filming?
No, production is complete on season two. According to an Instagram post by Amaia Aberasturi, who plays Zoa in the thriller series, the cameras officially stopped working on July 1, 2022. She said the cast and crew had been filming the second season for three months.
Here is the English translation of the subtitle of the article:
End of #Eden 2 filming
Thanks team for these 3 months! you
Oh… already I can't wait to see the result and share it with you!
As reported by Netflix, Welcome to Eden season 2 was filmed in different locations in Spain such as Lanzarote, Barcelona and Teruel.
Welcome to Heaven ending announced
The first season ends with Zoa nearly getting on the boat to leave Eden, but later she sees her sister Gabi arrive on the island and stops in her tracks. Elsewhere, Afrika accidentally sends a signal into space by pressing a button on a machine in a secret room in Astrid and Erick's apartment. She tries to dismiss the warning but to no avail. He then tries to exit the room by taking the elevator, but it closes before he gets on. Charly reaches the boat safely, while Mayka watches him via a drone. She decides not to tell him. Finally, Ibon drowns Ulises and then pulls his body deeper into the ocean.
What could Welcome to Heaven season 2 be about?
For starters, we need to know what Zoa will do now that her sister has arrived on the island. Will she stay on the island to watch over her older sister, or will they try to escape when she and her sister are reunited? What about the signal sent into space? How will this affect the candidate? What about Africa? Remember, she's trapped in the secret room in Astrid and Erick's apartment. I'm sure someone will find it, but what will happen to it when it does? Whatever happens to Africa after it's liberated, it can't be good.
Also, we still don't know who Isaac really is and what the Eden Foundation is. We know how the Eden Foundation started and why it was founded, but there's definitely more to it. Issac has a close bond with Astrid and Erick, but how is their relationship? Could it be their son? We also need to find out who stabbed Erick. There's a lot to discover in season two and we can't wait to see how it all goes.
Here's what Netflix had to say about the plot of the second season:
Mystery and danger on the island continue to grow in this new season, and the Eden Foundation welcomes new characters.

Welcome to Heaven season 2 episode count: How many episodes will there be?

Will Welcome to Heaven season 2 be rated TV-MA?
It is unclear whether the second season will be rated TV-MA like the first season, but our guess is that it will. It's rare for a Netflix show's maturity rating to change.
Welcome to Heaven season 2 release updates (March 2023)
After production wrapped in July 2022, new episodes should have gone into post-production immediately. Once post-production is finished, the second season will arrive on Netflix. As of March 2023, new episodes have spent approximately eight months in post-production. Typically, Netflix shows spend about six to eight months in post-production before they come out. However, the second season may indeed come to Netflix any time.
But since the full list of Netflix shows coming in March 2023 has already been released and Welcome to Eden season 2 is not on the list, we can count the March release. So, can the second season come in April? That's possible, but we've been leaning more towards a May release since the first season came out then. We can't see Netflix holding the second season after the summer, though. We'll get back to you with the official release date once it's announced.
Make sure to visit this area regularly because we'll be updating it with new information as season two airs.
