Turkey Design Vision 2030 Workshop is Held

Turkey Design Vision 30 Workshop will be held on 31-2030 March in order to reveal the policies and strategies regarding design in Turkey. In the workshop realized with the cooperation of Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, Informatics Valley and World Design Organization (WDO); 2030 roadmap in design will be determined in line with the opinions of designers, industry representatives, academicians and design students.

Original and high value-added designs, combined with innovation, increase the economic competitiveness of companies. For this reason, countries create various organizational structures to determine policy in the field of design. In this context, the Turkish Design Advisory Council was established in Turkey in 2009.

“Guiding the design”

With the works carried out within the Council, many strategy documents and action plans that shape the design were implemented. Thus, the international competitiveness of many Turkish companies has increased and their success has been recognized with international design awards.

“Hosted by Informatics Valley”

Informatics Valley General Manager A. Serdar İbrahimcioğlu, WDO Board Member Sertaç Ersayın and WDO President David Kusuma will each make speeches. Then WDO's Turkey members will be called to the stage. Informatics Valley's official membership will also be announced and a WDO participation certificate will be given. Afterwards, Cemil Başpınar, President of the Patent and Trademark Office, will make a speech.

After the award ceremony, the Turkey Design Vision 2030 Workshop, which was organized to determine Turkey's new roadmap in the field of design, will begin. The workshop, which aims to develop the Turkish design identity and promote it internationally, will be held in Turkey's technology and innovation hub, Informatics Valley.

WDO executive and board members and stakeholders, leading industry representatives from around the world and Turkey, academics and designers will attend the workshop, where all views and suggestions regarding the design strategy will be evaluated comprehensively. During the two-day workshop, sessions will be held under the titles of "Turkey's Design Strategy in the Framework of Global Design Trends" and "Design for Unpredictable Conditions".

“WDO Board of Directors in Turkey”

Following the completion of the two-day workshop, the WDO Board of Directors Meeting, which takes place every year in 4 different regions of the world, will also be held in Turkey. Headquartered in Montreal, with nearly 200 members and representatives in more than 80 countries, WDO, the world's largest and top design organization, determines its new strategies in the field of design at these meetings.
