Traffic Arrangement Due to Buca Metro Construction Works

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues the construction of the Buca metro. Due to the construction works of the line, temporary traffic arrangements were made in some arteries of the city.

Within the scope of the construction of the Üçyol - Buca metro line, the largest rail system investment in the history of the city, to be built by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality with its own resources, the tunnel boring machine (TBM) will begin excavations in the coming days. Temporary road arrangements will be made on some routes so that the TBM can become operational and the General Asım Gündüz Station can be built.

Accordingly, the 526/5 street entrance used to turn left from Buca direction (via Eşrefpaşa Caddesi) to Karabağlar direction (Halide Edip Adıvar Caddesi) was temporarily closed. Drivers who want to come from the direction of Buca and continue towards Karabağlar will be able to reach Halide Edip Adıvar Street via Eski İzmir Street by turning left at the junction on Yağhaneler Square, which is 3 meters away, for 500 months.
