Rosatom Technical Academy representatives met with Koray Tuncer, one of the founders of the Turkish Republic Nuclear Industry Association (NIATR), the organizer of the Nuclear Power Plants Fair and Summit (NPPES), and Ankara Chamber of Industry representatives.

At the meeting, it was planned to organize a panel with the participation of Turkish and Russian education institutions within the scope of NPPES-2023.

Pavel Zhuravlev, Vice Rector and Director of Rosatom Technical Academy International Cooperation and International Business Development Department, said that the panel planned to be held with the representatives of the business world and organizations participating in the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NGS) project will strengthen the message given at the NPPES-2023 Fair and Summit. Zhuravlev stated that the Turkish experts who will take part in this panel will also contribute to the training of the personnel working in different fields at Akkuyu NPP.

The parties also expressed their intention to hold a more comprehensive meeting of the joint working group consisting of Rosatom Technical Academy and Ankara Chamber of Industry to discuss issues related to personnel training for the Akkuyu NPP project and to create a roadmap.

Speaking at the meeting, NPPES Organizing Committee Member Tuncer said, “Rosatom is the sustainable partner of NPPES and we are pleased to cooperate with Russian organizations. The panel, which will be held as part of the summit, will attract the attention of participants from both Turkish and Russian sides.

The parties expressed their readiness to sign a tripartite agreement regarding the implementation of the joint education program of Ankara Chamber of Industry College at NPPES. In the meeting, the possibility of organizing "Training Trainers" courses and training the employees of Akkuyu NPP supplier organizations were also discussed.
